I'm Johanna. A burnt out ex lawyer and bead artist. I got tired of my stressful everyday life and I'm now trying to find a calmer life through arts and crafts. I'm the founder of the company dohre and the one who makes all dohre jewellery.

I crated dohre [dåre] because I think there is great value in things that people have put love and time into creating with their hands. In a world that reward efficiency at the expense of people's well-being, I want to take a step in a completely different direction and do things slowly and with love and care.

I want to give you color, glitter and hand-sewn jewellrey that highlight your unique character and personality. I also think it's important to make jewellery that's comfortable to wear in your everyday life.

  • Craftsmanship

    I make jewellery in my very own way: sewing each piece by hand using bead embroidery.

    My ambition is that every pair of earrings that I make will be a small handmade piece of art you can wear to showcase your own unique style and personality.

  • Slow Fashion

    When you choose to purchase a piece of my jewellery you know exactly who made it.

    No mass production, instead each product is hand-sewn by me in Gothenburg, Sweden.

    Unlike Silicone Valley and Facebook our motto is not "move fast and break things", but the opposite "move slow and love the things you make".

  • Let's celebrate imperfection

    It's true of all handmade things that no piece is exactly the same as the other, and I think that is what makes it beautiful. The same is true for all of us.
